Club Rules

There are very few rules Opal and they are all about caring for the building and its occupants. We do have a 'no outdoor shoe' policy throughout the lodge which includes all bunkrooms and living areas, so it's advisable to bring slippers, trainers or thick socks to walk around the lodge in. All ski equipment and summer activity equipment must be stored in racks provided and clothing must be stored in racks in the drying room. Stands are available for bikes during Summer on Level 1.

  • Smoking is forbidden throughout the lodge.
  • Make yourself familiar with the fire escapes and The Fire Safety and Evacuation Procedures.
  • Be aware of other occupants in your bunkroom and ensure that it is kept as tidy as possible.
  • If pillowslips are required, speak to the Lodge Manager.
  • Kitchen benchtops must be kept clear at all times.
  • Food is not to be stored or consumed in your bunkroom.
  • Take home or dispose of any leftover foodstuff.
  • The Lodge Manager will co-ordinate the operation of the lodge and cleaning duties.
  • It is the responsibility of every member and guest to share the cleaning duties equally.
  • Refer any problems to the Lodge Manager or email: enquiry@opalskiclub.com.au

Cleaning Duties

The occupants of each bunkroom are responsible for cleaning their own bunkroom and ensuite bathroom including shower and toilet, vacuuming floors, as well as sharing cleaning duties within the living area before vacating the Lodge. You will find a list of these Cleaning Duties on the back of your bunkroom door.
